Death, Taxes and Pushups: Top Ten Reasons Why Push-Ups Are The Most Dynamic Exercise Ever

Benjamin Franklin once wrote, 'In this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes.' Two hundred years later, Ted Skup adds one additional certainty: push-ups. In Death, Taxes, and Push-ups, Skup confesses his secret obsession with the exercise and how it transformed him into a 'lean, mean, pushing machine.' He contends that with fitness levels at an all-time low, fitness should be a national priority. He also shows that the most important element in becoming and staying fit is consistency, which is achieved through a fitness program that you can perform anytime or anyplace. You have an arsenal of exercise options at your disposal, and push-ups are the ultimate choice.

Skup also takes on the 35-billion-dollar fitness industry and explains why it is failing us, with its bogus claims, magic bullets, and quick fixes. Although the fitness industry may not want to hear it, push-ups are free no equipment, no gimmicks and totally portable. They work for busy executives as well as people with tight budgets. The definition of good health is a sense of well-being, and Death, Taxes and Push-ups will be your guide to reaching that goal.

Death, Taxes and Push-ups: Letters and Testimonials

November 11, 2008

Ted,
I hope that your book is selling like hotcakes, as it is such practical plan for total fitness. I hope to see you soon, doing pushups on The Eiffel Tower, on The Great Wall of China, and overlooking The Grand Canyon, in your quest for a worldwide pushups revolution! I am doing great following the instructions in your book. I sometimes instead of doing the same number of reps in a certain amount of sets, do my routine pyramid style, that is gradually increasing and decreasing the reps. I can do 300 pushups a day fairly easily now, and I sometimes do them in ten sets of 30 reps, six sets of 50 reps, or pyramid style, doing reps of 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 50, 40, 30, 20, 10. It is fun to exercise this way for a little variety. Do you ever do your pushups this way? I keep telling everyone that on various message boards about your great book and program, and wish you continued success.

Best regards,

Bob Boggs

This book answered all my questions about Push-ups. The author has more experience then anyone I know about improving your Push-up routine. He takes you through his own journey of 25 plus years then develops you into a “Lean Mean Pushing Machine”. I’ve done push-ups for years but never like this. My strategy has completely changed in reaching my goals and I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to save time and money while getting into great shape. This just may be the last fitness book I’ll ever buy!

“Man vs. Machine”, May 3, 2008
By John Galinski (San Diego, CA)

I currently own both stationery and rotating push-up bars, but the problem is my palms and rotator cuffs are taking a beating. Both these types of bars are good for low repetitions anyway, and can’t be used for anyone who really wants to build muscle definition. Death, Taxes & Push-ups is the answer to understanding how to get to a 1000 push-ups a day or higher. The author is a real motivator due to his own personal stories. When it comes down to “Man vs. Machine” man wins every time! The traditional push-up is superior to anything else not to mention its portability. I totally recommend this book to all serious “PUSHERS”.

Keeping it simple, March 7, 2008

Looking for an alternative to waiting in line for every machine at the gym. This book has a keep it simple message that anyone can do. It is an easy read with a lot of information. I recommend the book to anyone that wants to get in shape and not spend a ton of money and time!

"The Push-up Revolution" April 30, 2008

Count me in! I've joined the Push-up Revolution. This author has proven to me that doing push-ups is just as effective as using 10 different health club machines. The only thing I can say about Ted Skup is he is not your ordinary Jack of all Trades, but a Master of One, The Push-up. I'm telling all my friends to stop spending their money on useless exercise equipment and just use the formulas in this book to increase muscle size and strength. Saving time and money is good as long as it works. This works. I recommend this book to everyone!

The author is not only a push-up expert, he also knows his target audience. This book is perfect for the average person looking to get in shape without having to set aside time to get to the gym, buy expensive "home gyms," or get burned buying the latest fitness machine you really don't need. The author reminds us we are born with all we need to get in shape naturally. You can do push-ups anywhere! The author also explains how fun, simple and portable getting in shape can be. Stop wasting your time and money buying trendy junk and starting using the common sense approach to getting fit outlined in this book. It's not just a book about push-ups, it's an interesting personal story too. Don't miss out!

This just might be the coolest book on any one exercise I've ever read. Ted Skup's formulas for increasing Push-up repetitions are so simple that my daughter and I are doing them exclusively. Anyone who has done 10 million Push-ups has to know what they are talking about.

Pushups: 'The Global Revolution'

How do you start a revolution? First you have to have a leader that asks himself the most important question, "What am I going to make of this world?" This leader's requisites are: 1. Keep an open mind, 2. Find a new path, 3. Disregard the word defeat. Question: Where would this world be without revolutionaries from the past, like Thomas Jefferson, Ghandi, and Martin Luther, each of whom paved the way for millions. Today we have people stepping up to "fight the good fight." Whether it's Ralph Nader or Michael Moore, the battle cry remains the same, "We're mad as hell and we're not going to take it anymore."

Abox Publishing is declaring the start of the "Push-up Revolution" with Ted Skup's new book, "Death, Taxes & Push-Ups." He says, "As a revolutionist, my nature draws me to challenge everything the fitness industry dishes out."

Skup, an authority on push-ups, decided to write his book only after officially doing more than 10 million. "My book is the first and only book ever dedicated entirely to the most explosive exercise on earth -- push-ups!" he says.

Push-ups have always been perceived as a warm-up exercise until now. "This is not just an exercise, but a fitness lifestyle," Skup says. "My routines and formulas work wonders for men, women, and even children of any fitness level. You'll soon find out why I call my push-up routines 'Horizontal Jogging.'"

Skup goes on to say: "As the leader of the 'Push-up Revolution' it's my obligation to go after the 35 billion-dollar fitness industry." In his book he explains why the industry is clearly failing us with its bogus claims, magic bullets, and quick fixes. Although the fitness industry may not want to hear it, push-ups are free, require no equipment, are totally portable, and there are no gimmicks. They work for busy executives as well as people with tight budgets.

Just like Luke Skywalker who took on the Evil Empire, Ted Skup is announcing today that he and his militia of minutemen will take on the fitness industry by doing push-ups on every battlefield.

Skup's definition of good health is having a sense of well-being, and "Death, Taxes & Push-Ups" will be your guide to reaching that goal.

Push-Ups: The New Fitness Nirvana

"Move over yoga, your competition has finally arrived," says Ted Skup, the new Dalai Lama of fitness. When it comes to harmonizing the body, mind and spirit, push-ups (not yoga) are fast becoming the fitness nirvana of choice. With some yoga instructors now charging $2,500 for a 30-day workout program, it's no wonder people are looking for a cheaper alternative -- like free! "Why should I pay some yogi $2,500 to help me become more flexible when I could go to Toys 'R' Us and buy the Twister game for $13.95?" laughs Skup. Right hand on red, left foot on blue.

"We have the making of a new cult following, gravitating towards push- ups," says the new fitness Dalai and author of the book "Death, Taxes & Push- Ups."

Skup is an authority on his subject, deciding to write his book only after officially doing more than 10 million push-ups. "My book is the first and only book ever dedicated entirely to the most explosive exercise on the planet -- push-ups!" he says.

Push-ups have always been perceived as a warm-up exercise until now.
"This is not just an exercise, but a fitness lifestyle," Skup says. "My routines and formulas work wonders for men, women and even children of any fitness level. You'll soon find out why I call my push-up routine'Horizontal Jogging.'"

Skup goes on to say, "As a new Dalai and spiritual leader in the fitness movement, I have a moral obligation to go after the 35-billion-dollar fitness industry." In his book he explains why the industry is clearly failing us with its bogus claims, magic bullets and quick fixes. Although the fitness industry may not want to hear it, push-ups are free, require no equipment, are totally portable, and there are no gimmicks. They work for busy executives as well as people with tight budgets.

Ted Skup is announcing today that along with his book he is not only taking this push-up revolution nationally, he's going global!
